Here’s Alex at his four month checkup last Friday.
下面的照片是我们去做四个月的例行检查时候照的。照片上的易峰刚刚称了体重，躺在床上等大夫。
He weighs 16.5 lb, he’s 25 inches long, and his head is a mammoth 43 cm in circumference. We got the go-ahead from Dr Hitchcock to start him on rice cereal, so we’ll be doing that any day now.
体重16.5磅，身长25英寸，头围43厘米。
Alex did a great job with his vaccinations. He’s a brave boy!
易峰是个很勇敢的宝宝，打了三针，哭了10秒钟就不哭了。
Alex has been a happy boy the last couple of weeks.
易峰是个爱笑的可爱宝宝。每天早晨把他抱到镜子前，他都会看看自己，你问他“那个镜子里的可爱的小家伙是谁呀？”他就会憨憨地笑出声来。下面的照片是在洗完澡之后照的，易峰现在洗澡的时候心情都不错，我一般都是一边唱一边给他洗。现在才发现自己会的新歌可真是有限，现在哼的竟是些把老掉牙的歌，象什么“生产队里养了一群小鸭子”“卖报歌”，易峰刚出生的头一个月，每天唱的都是“月亮代表我的心”，好像易峰也领会了我的心意，每次都很买账，乖乖的不哭了，哈哈。以前和朋友们去卡拉OK不会唱也没放在心上，现在拼命补儿歌，当妈的不仅管吃喝拉撒睡，还要精通吹拉弹唱，真是不容易呀。不过目前易峰还不知道钢琴是怎么回事，每次给他弹，他都没兴趣，我想肯定是我弹的太难听了，他每次听GEORGE WINSTON他都很开心。我要赶快练习了。
Part of it has been that he got this cool new hat from Grandma. Here he is with his babysitter, Grandma Du.

Part of it is that he’s excited that we put his bouncer together, and now he gets to hang out in it. Our living room is starting to look like romper room with all the baby apparatus (papasan swing, snugli chair, rocking chair, and bouncer) in it.
我们有两个看电视的房间，其中一个基本上已经被易峰的大大小小器械玩具占领了。下面的照片是易峰在一个可以蹦蹦跳跳的玩具里。易峰可以时不时蹦两下，或走两步。
He also suspected we’d be visiting the Harrisses, who still live next door to the house in Scripps that Dad grew up in. We visited them on Sunday. Here’s Alex with Gail…

易峰和妈妈。我的头发好丑呀，该剪头发了！到了美国之后觉得美国人都不会剪头发，每次剪完之后，都非常不满意。目前也没有回国计划，只好这段时间抽空在这里剪了。易峰到是突然间长了不少头发，眉毛也变浓了。
But the main reason Alex has been excited is that he’s been looking forward to the inaugural meeting of the Golden Pig Club. You see, the year of the Golden Pig in the Chinese zodiac occurs just once every 60 years. Fairy Godmother Beth came down to visit Grandma this weekend, and they both came over for dinner Sunday night, and all of a sudden we had three people born in the year of the Golden Pig in the same place at the same time, and a quorum was reached!
这周末，金猪俱乐部成立了！下面的照片的里的每个人都出生在金猪年。金猪每60年一次，所以说这三个金猪碰在一起可真不容易呢。易峰被荣幸地推选为俱乐部部长，当天晚上，他就一口气睡了五个小时，做领导的，总要带个好头吧！
The club membership engaged in some secret rituals whose meaning is inscrutable to those of us not lucky enough to be born in the year of the Golden Pig.
“哈哈，我当选为部长了！真呀真高兴！”
But you don’t have to be a Golden Pig to see how excited Alex was at being named the president of the Golden Pig Club!
“…刚当选，作为部长，我…该讲点啥呢？…”
Finally Grandma and Grandpa came back from England. Dad, Mom, and Alex are missing them very much. We have been wondering where they are and how they are doing. It is SO good to see Grandma this morning.
I was a little bit worried that Alex would be sleeping when Grandma stops by because that is pretty much what he does when You come to baby sit. Luckily, Alex woke up right before Grandma pressed the door ring. Alex was so excited to see Grandma that he showed off his push-up, sit-up, “ah-hoo” cooing talking, and book reading. I have never seen him talk so loud. Last week, dad caught Alex laughing loud for 5 seconds. We cannot wait more coming soon!
I will update this website in Chinese so that Alex’s grandparents in China can enjoy reading this blog too. They are so eager to know every detail about Alex. I should have done this long time ago.
We went to the Carlsbad Strawberry field today. Alex wasn’t able to pick, but he was able to supervise our selection of fruit.
我是一个周末在家里呆不住的人。一个月前我就上网查在哪里可以自己采水果，蔬菜。能在周末到田野里走走，倍觉精神焕发。终于这个周末，我们带着易峰（alex)开车前去采草莓。虽然易峰因年龄小不能摘，但他可是一点不放松检查爸爸妈妈摘的每个草莓。明年他还要和thoma哥哥比赛谁摘的草莓最大，最多呢！
“That’s a good strawberry you just picked there, Mom. Go ahead and put it in the bucket.”
Yingbin and Han and Thomas came along. We can’t wait until Alex can pick strawberries like Thomas did.
I’d never been to the strawberry field before and I was amazed at the strawberries they had available. There were tons of them, some already rotting on the plant because they hadn’t been picked in time. We tried to be selective and only take the best. It was kind of expensive–$11.00 for a big bucket–but it was a lot of fun and the fruit we brought home was really, really good; much better than the average flat of strawberries you can get at the grocery store.
Alex seemed to have a lot of fun, but being selective is tiring work!
Here’s Alex from earlier this week in his cute brown bear bath wrap from Tom and Mona. We hadn’t used it yet because it was so much bigger than he was, but he’s catching up!
易峰近来突然发现电视机这个东东很有意思，由于怕他眼睛看坏，我就经常挡着他，他就使劲抻着脖子看，而且一旦眼睛盯上电视，立马就变得乖乖的，不哭不闹的。看下面的照片就是他洗完澡之后，躺在沙发上，眼睛直钩钩的瞅着电视。不过如果我们坚持不让他看，他也眨巴眨巴眼睛，撇撇嘴罢了。
Alex went for his first walk around Miramar Lake on Sunday with mom, dad, Uncle Jared and Aunt Yingbin.
很长时间没有去米若马湖边散步了，有了易峰之后，总担心他会不会半路上哭了，饿了，扫了大家的兴。幸好JARED和YINGBIN都是很爱小孩子，很有耐心的人，我们就约好礼拜天到湖边走上一走。这段时间天气莫明的非常之热，我们特地起了个大早，但走了一半，太阳还是晒的灼人。易峰早就在推车里坐得不耐烦了，好心的YINGBIN阿姨把她的草帽借给易峰，我就将他背在胸前。一路上，我们就唱着，说着，笑着。。。易峰看着我们也傻傻地笑呀笑呀。
Actually, we didn’t make it all the way around, but we went almost four miles, and Alex did very well. Here he is on the walk.
Alex got his baby swim pants, so he’s all ready to start swim lessons!
易峰终于有了自己的游泳裤，可以准备去上游泳课了。我很喜欢这条有许多小恐龙的红色泳裤。
